Our rapidly growing biotechnology partner is looking for an experienced Automation Engineer to support laboratory automated processes in Budapest, Hungary.

Responsibilities:
  • Identify, translate, and apply manual lab practices into efficient automated processes
  • Support the use of automation in workflows
  • Collaborate with Drug Discovery Service scientists to elaborate new methods
  • Develop and conduct high throughput screen-type assays of drug candidates in biochemical assays
  • Identify, lead and contribute to projects to improve data quality, increase acquisition speed, and reduce failure rates
  • Prepare technical documentation, SOPs
  • Provide training & technical support for multiple users of the Drug Discovery Service team
Requirements
  • BS or MS in Life Science, or Engineering
  • 2-3 years of relevant industrial experience in operating and programming automated instruments
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
  • Strong attention to detail, safety, and good laboratory practices
  • Creative problem-solving skills with a constructive attitude
Advantages:
  • Work experience in Drug Discovery and Development in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Knowledge of popular automated liquid handlers such as Hamilton, Biomek and Tecan in both hardware and software
  • Experience in Cell and Biochemical Assay development
