Our client, a leading global medical device company, is seeking a Lean Specialist – Finance to drive continuous improvement across finance operations in the EMEA region. Responsibilities:
- Develop a deep understanding of EMEA operations and the broader global business environment.
- Analyze global processes impacting finance operations, including payroll, fixed assets, Purchase-to-Pay, US GAAP and statutory accounting, and tax compliance.
- Identify opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of finance and cross-functional processes.
- Build and present business cases for process improvements to regional and corporate finance leadership.
- Lead and execute lean-based improvement projects end-to-end.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with Finance teams and their leaders across regions.
- Collaborate effectively with other key functions such as IT, Procurement, HR, Global Commercial Operations, and Global Shared Services.
- Manage and influence cross-functional project teams without formal authority.
- Apply effective influencing and communication techniques to ensure project success and stakeholder engagement.
Requirements:
- 3–5 years of proven experience applying Lean methodology in a multinational environment, preferably within the healthcare or life sciences industry.
- Solid background in Finance or Accounting, with strong understanding of end-to-end finance processes.
- Demonstrated success in identifying improvement opportunities and implementing solutions using Lean tools and principles.
- Excellent knowledge of operations within large, high-volume, multinational organizations.
- Tech-savvy mindset, capable of spotting automation and digitization opportunities.
- Proficiency in SAP, Power BI, Blackline, or similar financial systems.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities, capable of working across departments and hierarchical levels.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken); another European language is an advantage.
