Our partner, a global leader in medical and safety technology, is seeking a Service Technician (Engineer) to join their Service Safety Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the proper operation, maintenance, and reliability of safety service equipment across Hungary. This position involves hands-on technical work, including inspections, repairs, calibrations, and installations, ensuring all equipment operates safely and complies with relevant standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Service, Installation & Maintenance
- Perform inspections, maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, and calibration of safety devices at customer sites and in the workshop.
- Conduct installations and commissioning of safety devices.
- Diagnose and resolve technical faults, breakdowns, and emergency service requests.
- Perform scheduled maintenance and periodic calibration of gas detection sensors to ensure measurement accuracy (FGDS systems).
- Evaluate and manage remote service calls.
- Promote manufacturer service solutions and service contracts.
- Deliver user training sessions on the company's safety products.
- Achieve individual and departmental performance targets.
- Participate in regular technical and product training offered by the company.
Customer Support & Representation
- Represent the company with professionalism and customer focus.
- Provide technical support and training to customers, ensuring safe and effective equipment operation.
- Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through prompt and efficient service delivery across the assigned geographical area (Debrecen and Tiszaújváros surroundings).
Compliance, Documentation & Reporting
- Ensure all service activities meet internal quality standards and local regulations.
- Prepare and maintain detailed service documentation, including inspection, calibration, and repair reports.
- Draft repair estimates and provide technical feedback to internal stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Completed secondary technical education (Bachelor’s in Electronics, Electrical, or Pneumatic Engineering is an advantage).
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in technical service, maintenance, or engineering roles.
- Certified Operator for explosion-proof electrical equipment and/or metrology experience is an advantage.
- Strong technical and diagnostic skills with solid PLC knowledge.
- Understanding of digital signal transmission, 4–20 mA techniques, and device communication terminals.
- Comfortable with cloud-based systems and business management software (Navision, CRM365 preferred).
- Excellent PC literacy and software application skills.
- Category B driving license and technical English at conversational level.
