​​​​​ ​​​​​​Carbyne has been hired to search & select an Automation Project Lead for one of the fastest-growing pharmaceutical production sites in Hungary. In this position, you will support greenfield and brownfield investment projects from the design phase until the machines and systems have been implemented.

​​​Your responsibilities will include:

  • Create project outlines, incorporating ROI/payback assessments and project frameworks.
  • Compute ROI and develop the business case in partnership with key stakeholders.
  • Present and secure approval through capital expenditure committees.
  • Assess existing automation initiatives on-site to uncover ongoing activities and potential deficiencies.
  • Coordinate with global and corporate automation initiatives to outline the local automation strategy.
  • Define precise project boundaries, goals, and success criteria.
  • Evaluate current automation efforts on-site to identify existing activities and possible gaps.
  • Collaborate with global and corporate automation projects to create the local automation agenda.
  • Lead projects by applying project management techniques.
  • Oversee time, costs, scope, quality, communications, and risks.
  • Track project returns based on profit and loss projections, ensuring compliance with authorized budgets and schedules.
  • Provide project progress updates to senior leadership through regular briefings and monthly steering groups.
  • Offer counsel on supplier selection as a key participant in decision-making processes.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with project managers, engineers, and maintenance teams, encouraging effective communication and teamwork within a matrix-based structure.
  • Ensure project outcomes by fulfilling the deliverables agreed upon with the project sponsor.
  • Guarantee compliance with Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) standards throughout the design and execution phases.
  • Collaborate closely with EHS and Quality departments to uphold safety and quality standards.

Requirements to apply for this role:

  • ​​​​​​​Min. 5 years’ experience in project management in the field of new investment automation projects,
  • BSc or MSc degree preferably in the field of Automation,
  • confident English skills in verbal and written,
  • experience with Scada, DCS, PLC (programming skills are not required).​​​​​​​
