Join them as a Preclinical R&D Head!

What your tasks will be
 
  • Shape and implement a forward-thinking drug discovery strategy aligned with the company’s long-term vision, driving early-stage programs from concept through IND/CTA-enabling phases.

  • Oversee multidisciplinary research efforts, including target validation, lead optimization, and preclinical pharmacology (e.g. mechanism of action, biomarker development, in-vivo efficacy, and PK/PD studies).

  • Provide scientific and strategic guidance across modality-specific areas such as medicinal chemistry or biologics optimization, integrating cutting-edge technologies like AI-driven tools or automation where relevant.

  • Manage external collaborations with CROs, research institutions, and strategic partners to accelerate discovery programs and expand technological capabilities.

  • Partner cross-functionally with regulatory, clinical, and manufacturing teams to ensure smooth transition of candidates into development and contribute to regulatory documentation.

  • Lead and mentor a team of scientists, fostering a collaborative research environment grounded in scientific rigor, innovation, and continuous growth.


What you will need to succeed
  • Advanced degree (PhD or equivalent) in life sciences such as medicinal chemistry, molecular biology, pharmacology, biochemistry or related.

  • Over 10 years of experience in early-stage drug discovery and preclinical development, including several years in senior scientific leadership/principal scientist, team leader or project managerial roles.

  • Demonstrated success in driving small molecule or biologics programs from from hit-to-lead optimization through IND-enabling studies.
