On behalf of our partner, an international scientific institution, we are seeking an experienced Accounting Professional to lead the team responsible for accounting, taxation, payroll, and other financial processes.
Responsibilities

- Coordinating and ensuring the operation, resource management, and working conditions of the organizational unit
- Performing tasks related to goal setting, concept creation, planning, organization, management, control, and evaluation regarding the activities of the organizational units;
- Coordinating and supervising the work of the bookkeeping service provider, managing year-end closings and the preparation of financial statements, and providing professional support for audits;
- Formulating, systematizing, and issuing economic and administrative tasks;
- Representing the organizational units and ensuring cooperation between the units;
- Coordinating the processing of invoices and accounting documents, bank payments, and relationships with financial institutions; managing grant-related legal relationships and settlements, and participating in tax law reconciliations;
- Supervising the work of payroll service providers, ensuring deadlines and compliance;
- Operating and developing records management and document management processes, and keeping regulations up to date.
- Participating in the development of support schemes and coordination of grant settlements
Requirements
- Degree in economics (finance/accounting/controlling/economics);
- Chartered Accountant certificate
- At least 7 years of relevant professional experience, with a minimum of 2 years spent in a leadership position;
- Active, negotiation-level English language skills, both written and oral;
- Excellent presentation and advocacy skills; conveying complex data clearly to management;
- Systems-thinking mindset and high-level problem-solving skills;
- Proactivity, decision-making ability, and the capability to motivate a team of experts.
