Our client, a global market leader in Medical and Safety Equipment Manufacturing, is seeking an Accountant & Finance Specialist for their Budapest office. The successful candidate will support full-scale accounting operations in both domestic and international environments while collaborating closely with the Finance and Regional Lead.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reviewing, verifying, and booking incoming domestic and international invoices and financial documents
- Managing fixed asset records, calculating depreciation, conducting inventory checks, and handling related administration
- Posting general ledger entries
- Reconciling general ledger and analytical records
- Overseeing stock management information and inventory processes, including administrative tasks
- Preparing tax returns (primarily VAT) and applying related taxation knowledge
- Assisting with monthly and yearly closing processes and financial reporting
- Recording bank transactions and payments, processing bank statements
- Preparing payment reminders and tracking outstanding receivables
- Compiling statistical reports for the Hungarian Central Statistical Office (KSH)
- Creating financial analyses and reports
- Providing HR administrative support on an ad-hoc basis
Requirements:
- Relevant financial or accounting qualification (degree in finance, economics preferred)
- Certified Accountant or Chartered Accountant qualification is an advantage
- Confident intermediate English proficiency
- Strong analytical and logical thinking skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience (multinational company experience is an advantage).
