Our partner, an intensively growing pharmaceutical company, is in search of a Senior Strategic Buyer for CAPEX Project - green-and brownfield investments. The position will support strategic investments across the company, in multiple countries, overseeing strategic CAPEX procurement by enhancing supplier relationships and contributing to major investment projects to ensure efficient and cost-effective purchasing. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Direct strategic CAPEX procurement for global investment initiatives, conduct supplier market analysis, and drive cost optimization.
  • Design and implement long-term sourcing strategies, build strong supplier alliances, and establish contract management frameworks to secure favorable procurement terms.
  • Lead negotiations with suppliers, oversee contract implementation in collaboration with legal teams, and ensure adherence to corporate policies.
  • Support major capital projects by managing cross-border procurement activities and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Oversee supplier relationship management by sourcing new vendors, assessing supplier performance, and mitigating risks associated with project delivery.
  • Track key procurement metrics, monitor budget adherence, and develop financial projections to aid strategic planning.
  • Collaborate with engineering, finance, and operations to align sourcing efforts with organizational goals, while supervising internal buyers and external procurement consultants.

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Economics, or a related field
  • 8–10 years of procurement experience, ideally within the pharmaceutical, FMCG, or food sectors
  • Proficient in both English and Hungarian, with proven negotiation capabilities
  • Strong strategic mindset paired with advanced negotiation expertise
  • Demonstrated experience in managing supplier relationships and overseeing contract administration
  • Solid project management background with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
